Ed McDonough has been carrying the company colours far and wide in recent weeks in his Trackitnow backed Dulon Formula Ford.
“The last weekend in July found me in far-off Devon at the Wiscombe Park hillclimb event. This was a big meeting with the British Hillclimb Championship contenders all present, and large crowds at the scenic and challenging venue.
I was contesting the HSA (Hillclimb and Sprint Association) class over the two days, a group of 24 in a wide range of cars. Never having been there before, it was a real challenge. I managed to ram the car into a bank on one run, but rebuilt the front section, and on the final run on Sunday got down to 50.77 seconds. That jumped me up to tenth in the HSA group, and gave me important championship points in the Formula Ford class, which, I’m pleased to say, we now lead. It also pushed out team up to 8th overall in the Championship where there are 95 contenders....so a good but hard weekend.”
Off to Harewood Hillclimb this weekend near Leeds....fighting to hold the class lead in the Service Hydraulics championship.
